IMG_1044I am Johnna Schumann and I am the proud director of St. Pius X Early Childhood Center. I have worked at the ECC since September 2005. My husband Michael & I are the proud parents of three terrific boys; Matthew, Dillon & Brandon.

I am originally from Bevier, MO. My parents are Charles & (the late) Viola Turner of Bevier. Michael’s parents are Charles & Rhonda Schumann of Moberly.

My staff is a wonderful group of people that bring their own unique gifts & talents to each and every room they work in. God has truly given me great teachers that TRULY love & care for ALL children!

It is a privilege to say that we are able to not only teach the children their basic age appropriate education but also the Word of God! The children learn Bible stories and prayers on a daily basis. I believe that through a faith-centered education, we recognize and honor the uniqueness of each child and prepare all of our children to meet the spiritual, academic and social challenges of a changing world.

I look forward to talking to anyone who is interested in attending our facility. We are open to ANYONE who is interested in joining our great ECC family.

Hello Loveable Littles parents!

My name is Mrs. Emily and I am the lead baby room teacher. I have been working at St. Pius X ECC since August 2016 and have loved every minute of it. I’m beyond excited to be moving to the baby room as I have over 5 years combined experience with infants and they are without a doubt the age group I enjoy the most!

I’ve been married to my high school sweet heart for 4 years now and together we have two amazing children, an 8 year old son and a year and a half old daughter. It’s also worth mentioning our three year old adopted yellow lab Scout who has nuzzled a forever spot within our family. If I’m not at work you can usually find me at the ballpark as my husband and I have a slight obsession with playing slow pitch softball. When not at the ballpark I’m usually at home reading, binge watching Netflix or simply trying to keep up with my rambunctious family.

My Favorites:

Drink: Dr. Pepper or coffee  ~~  Sport: Saint Louis Cardinals  ~~  Color: Blue  Store:Target  ~~  Book: To Kill a Mockingbird

I am very excited for the school year and can’t wait to teach your little ones lots of fun activities!
I grew up and went to school here in Moberly and just graduated this summer with my associates in general studies at MACC. I have zero ideas about what I want to be when I grow up but I’m leaning towards getting a degree in history.
I have one kiddo named Jackson who will turn 3 in September and he keeps me very busy! We enjoy swimming, hiking, and listening to live music whenever possible!
Some of my hobbies include hiking, exploring, learning, watching Star Wars, and playing video games!
I cannot wait for the 2017 school year to begin and am excited to watch your little one grow!

Hello terrific three’s parents! I will be your child’s lead teacher this year and I am very excited for all the fun adventures we will have. I am 22 years old and currently finishing up my bachelor’s degree for accounting. I have been working with children for quite a while now (since I was about 16). My mom owned a daycare, Ready Set Grow, and I grew up helping her. She actually worked at the St. Pius X ECC when we first moved here as well! I also helped my sister-in-law with her in-home daycare for a short time. I have always loved working with children, watching them learn something new is simply amazing! I will do my best to make sure that your children leave my classroom knowing more than they did and that they have a fun time doing so!

STEPHANIE JOSEPH (Co-Teacher):

Hi! My Name is Stephanie Joseph. I am the co-teacher for the Three’s Room. I graduated from Moberly High School and I was a former student of St. Pius X. I come from a family of 4 children. I enjoy getting to see the children’s smiling faces and hear all the funny stories they love to share. I am looking forward helping your child learn and grow.

Mika 2015_edited-1

Hello! My name is Mika Lawrence & I am the Lead Teacher for the Fantastic Four’s!  I have been working at St. Pius X ECC since the Fall of 2015, and I have absolutely loved every single minute of it! It is amazing to see their little mind’s working, putting ideas together, and learning new things every day!

I am from Moberly, born and raised, I attended St. Pius X School myself as a “little one”, and am very proud of the education that I received; I would like to thank my parents, Kyle & Jennifer Lawrence for that experience. I utterly love how close knit our church is, we have such a great religious community with so much love and support.

I have been married to my marvelous husband George since 2011, and we have two extraordinary little girls who attend St. Pius X ECC and St. Pius X School. In my free time I am a crazy soccer mom/ coach’s wife, karate mom, and cheer mom; I love cooking with my girls, and reading!  I am still in the process of finishing my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Art Education, with an additional focus in Special Education. I enjoy taking full advantage of my cosmetology license, and do hair in the small amount of renaming time I have.

I am so grateful for the opportunity to work in such an amazing facility. It’s so special to watch these little ones grow and learn. Every day is a completely new adventure, and I am so appreciative that I have a job that is fun, and keeps me on my toes. Thank you!

Picture_edited-1

Hello! My name is Caitlyn Atterbury and I am the new Pre-K Lead Teacher for the 2017-2018 school year! I grew up on a small farm just north of Keytesville and currently reside outside Madison with my family. I have been with my high school sweetheart for just over seven years now and together we have a beautiful two-year-old daughter, Aubrey, and are expecting a little boy to be with us very soon! They will both be attending the ECC here at St Pius X and we are all very excited about the new adventure!

In 2012, I graduated from Keytesville R-3 as valedictorian of my class and since have accumulated over 70 college credit hours through MIZZOU, CMU, and MACC. I had a plan of becoming a pediatric nurse, but have went back to my dream of teaching and plan on finishing out my CDA in the near future.

Recently, I was running an in-home daycare, but had to unfortunately quit that when we moved out here to the country. However, God has blessed me with this opportunity at the ECC and I could not be more excited to get to know your children and watch them grow and learn with me!!
